Brainwave entrainment refers to using new scientific technology to synchronize our brainwaves with an external stimulus.
Scientists have found that our mental states correspond specifically to certain brainwaves. For example, a long practicing meditator with calm and composed nature usually have alpha brainwaves while those of us who are constantly stressed by work have high beta brainwaves.
Using persistent, regular and specific audio (sound) and/or visual (light) stimulation, scientists found that we can gradually change our brainwave from beta to alpha, thereby reducing our sense of stress and increased sense of relaxation. Read more
